Every year, the Shasta Dam Kiwanis Foundation awards local scholarships to members of the Central Valley High School Key Club. In early April, eligible students fill out an application reflecting on how their service with Key Club has impacted their lives. Once submitted, these applications are reviewed by our scholarship committee, and funds are awarded accordingly. To qualify, students must be dues-paying members, attend at least 80% of school meetings, and complete a minimum of 12 service hours.
In addition to our local scholarships, there are also scholarships available at the state and international levels. These applications open in November and are due by February 1st each year.
You could keep it simple and welcoming. Something like: “Join us for our weekly Shasta Dam Kiwanis Club meeting! We gather to serve our community, plan service projects, and enjoy fellowship.
